About Us.
Romeo/Juliet is an experimental adaptation of William Shakespeare’s classic love story. It was adapted and directed by Stefanie Harris employing gender blind casting, movement, and music as part of Spectrum Player’s “Night of Experimental Works” at Hofstra University. Since its premiere in April 2012, Romeo/Juliet has been reworked and rehearsed, and expanded its creative team, including the addition of the production company, Royal Family Productions, Inc. The goal for the next phase of this piece’s development is to perform in Scotland at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the largest arts festival in the world. In order to get there in August 2013, we are looking for donations, sponsors, and other fundraising opportunities. For ways you can help, please click here.
RFP is a non-profit theatre company committed to developing theatre that breaks new ground through Off-Broadway and Off-Off Broadway productions. RFP was founded in August 2007 by Katie Avebe, Mary Bernardi, Chris Henry, and Andy Theodorou, all of whom are still actively involved in the company. Royal Family Productions, Inc. is a 501(c)3 organization.
